I have been getting so much e mail about starting a natural cleaning products company.
My favorite part of starting a new project is the part where you come up with a zillion
different ideas and see which ones are the most workable. The more out of the box the more I try to find ways to make it work. It is my obsession. The creative innovative part
Is my favorite. Then taking nothing and making it into something. Wow, it is like having a baby, a little miracle. Then I am ready to do it all over again.

Should I sell the mixes or sale ready made products?
I had the idea to sell the mixes because the natural cleaning products are so expensive and I am always looking out for the people who do not have much money. So I thought of the whole mix it up yourself idea to get rid of some of the cost and the waste associated with the ready to use products.
However, people would rather pay more and buy a ready made product. I would advise that you make a ready made products. It is what is desired. Most people believe they are too busy to mix up there own products.

How do you work out the cost of shipping?
I use the US Postal Service and send everything Priority Mail usually in flat rate boxes. I know how much I can fit into each box and know the cost up front. The boxes and labels are free. The flat rate is usually only about $1.00 to $2.00 more that the regular fee and often I save those dollars by packing in more items or in things that are shipped farther away. The boxes and labels would cost me that anyway.
What about making labels?
You can make your own labels using the Avery labels most programs have the sizes by the Avery label built in. You can get a printing company to make your labels. You can buy a label maker. Nancy makes her own labels using Nova Art Explosion Publisher Program. I use a regular inexpensive hp printer then I spray the labels with a clear enamel to deter the ink from running. Or I take some packaging tape or some clear shelving paper to put right on top of the labels. The clear packaging tape or the clear shelving paper works best if you just use plain paper to make your labels and do not buy the Avery Label. There are a million different ways skin a cat. That is what my Mom says. I really do not skin cats. I dance with them remember.

Please appreciate how this Truth in Labeling Pledge. Back in the day before there was such a thing we use to all sit around on the Yahoo group throwing out ideas about how to get something like this started.
