Get Rid of those Cleaning Chemicals
by Cristy Davis Go Ahead and look under you sink, now pull out all of those cleaning products and take a look at the labels. Yeah! like you have nothing better to do. Well, just give it a try. Oh, didn't you just see that cool commercial on TV showing all that this product can do for you? Perhaps it is your favorite cleaner and it has a fresh new look and a fresh new "natural" smell. Do you have it now? Okay, look to see if you can find an ingredient list. If there is an ingredient list does it have really long and hard to pronounce names? Well, guess what, you can look those ingredients up on Toxnet http://www.toxnet.nih.gov
If there is not an ingredient list then you can find some of the ingredients on the MSDS sheet here http://householdproducts.nlm.nih.gov/index.htm
Or here http://msds,ehs.cornell.edu/msdssrch.asp

Oh, and guess what else! You can not find all of the ingredients ever because of Trade Secrecy Laws. Not even the government can know what is in those products. Does the label say Caution, Warning or Danger? Now open the bottle and take a whiff. Are your eyes watering? Are you dizzy or nauseous. Can you breathe? Well, naturally that will happen I mean how else could you be sure that it is cleaning? I mean if it does not eat the skin off of your hands how else are you going to know that it is working? How else can you be sure it is killing germs? Besides it is affordable and conveniently available at your local grocery store. They would not allow them to sell it if it was really all that dangerous, would they?
When you read a label and it says:
Caution
