US MARKET FOR PRETREATED WIPES AND ACCESSORIES PERSONAL AND HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTS
Order #: T1399_2004XX; US$ 3000.00 Published by Packaged Facts, July 2004; 156 Pages; 80+ Exhibits
The consumer wipes market continues to thrive. Despite mass entry, extreme product proliferation and not a few skeptics over the market’s long-term viability, new products continue to emerge and consumers seem eager to buy them. In the last 3 years there has been an explosion in the number and types of wipes available to the consumer. From baby wipes and facial wipes to disinfecting wipes for your countertop and a slew of automotive wipes to keep your 4-wheel "baby" shiny and supple. In a fast paced world, these wipes are designed for convenience, whether that is for your own personal use or to deal with all those thankless jobs around the house and garage

My tiny comments: Proctor & Gamble decided that people do not like to bend down so they are revolutionizing cleaning with their Mr. Cleans Magic Reach. Nancys theory is that Natural Cleaning is on the rise thus there is a decrease in chemical cleaners. Mr. Clean sales are up not down so they do have the right idea. The Mr. Clean Magic Wipes are popular even amoung the natural cleaning people.
Household cleanning sales went down in December 2004.

Ask Amy Are Your Household Cleaning Products Safe?
If a cleaning product has made it's way onto the shelf of your local supermarket, you assume that it must be safe, right? According to a recent survey, 88% of Americans believe that household products must be tested for safety before they can be sold, and 87% think manufacturers are required to list their products' ingredients on labels1 . One would think that the Consumer's Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the government agency that regulates household cleaning products, must insist that every product sold to consumers be tested for safety before it's marketed, right? Wrong! In fact, on it's website, the CPSC states that it doesn't have the legal authority to test or certify products for safety before they can be sold to consumers2
